It's our hope that Sanctuary Collective will be a project where experiences and resources can be shared and where young leaders will be supported. To do that, we need you. Our programs, resources, and websites are all still in development and so we welcome the opportunity to hear from you so that we might grow together. There are many ways for you to be involved with Sanctuary Collective and we invite you to consider what works best for you and get involved in as many or as few ways possible.
Pray
We cannot do this work alone, we must rely on a community of supporters and the strength and guidance of the Holy Spirit. To that end, we have a team commited to holding us in prayer regularly which prays for the Sanctuary Collective leadership along with the LGBTQ young adults and allies around the country. Due to the potentially sensitive nature of some prayer requests, we have an intake process for folks interested in joining our prayer team. Contact Matthew to begin that process.
Facilitate
Sanctuary Collective brings together a diverse group of pastors, professors, students, and supporters to provide young adults a wealth of resources. If you are interested in contributing prayers, sermons, personal narrative, or Bible study; or if you are skilled in faciliating trainings on nonviolence, grassroots organizing, affirming theology, or racism/anti-racism, please talk with Micah about how you can get involved.
Contribute In-Kind
We always need MetroCards, ecologically sustainable printing, web hosting, office supplies, computer software, and a variety of professional services. If you can help us in these or other areas, please contact Brian.
Volunteer
Please answer a few questions and let us know how you can best help. If you live in the NYC area and want to help in the evenings, we host a community night every Thursday. We have volunteer opportunities across age, skill set, religious background, and geographic location.
Donate
FTMI (Female-to-Male International, Inc.) is our fiscal sponsor. FTMI is a registered 501c3 tax-exempt non-profit corporation, and donations to Sanctuary Collective are tax-deductible through them. Online contributions are processed through PayPal and deposited into Sanctuary Collective's bank account.
