Discipleship Program
Participants in the Discipleship Program self-select into this year-long opportunity for mentorship, leadership development, and spiritual strengthening. You don't have to identify as Christian or believe in God to be part of this program, but since we are all working toward creating justice in Christian communities, Scriptural study is an integral part of our training. We also study the reality and interconnectedness of oppression, as well as equip participants with the skills they need to be an effective leader in your community.
Each participant is paired with a partner who has already done LGBTQ organizing within a Christian environment. For our first cycle, this is a member of our support team, but as we grow, we will be encouraging participants to take an active role in training and mentoring one another. We connect regularly with other young folks who are doing similar work around the country on regular conference calls and additional regional gatherings and trainings.
